No matter what I seem to do- It's almost impossible for me to get neighbours! This is driving me crazy!

Just stating beforehand: If this thread is in the wrong place, please move it. I'll understand. Anyway- I'm having some trouble creating a house that is pleasing to the eye. I have a lot of items and coins but I'm a major perfectionist when it comes to creating... anything. I would like some advice,...
