Understandable. I almost used Catherina as well. My sister-in law's grandmother that speaks Russian says, that it is acceptable to use Perturbee, it would be recommended to use Catherina.

You are absolutely correct! It is a little odd, but as with a lot of names it has its own history.
It's short for Femme Perturbée which I used as a pseudonym to blog about experiences with mental health issues (blog no longer exists). It got stuck with me, so I ended up using Perturbée for games and forums. (I don't use the é, because many applications still don't like special characters.)

I'm fine with the use of my own name in full "Catherina" or short "Cathy", but since I use Perturbee as my forum/game name, I'm not perturbed at all if that is used instead.
