In his memory I added a "Clacks" message, which is normally invisible.

This doesn't make much sense if you don't know at least some of the Discworld novels in which the "Clacks" are featured.
The "Clacks" are a kind of semaphore system, and when an operator died while working he was sent home by being added to the Overhead on the Grand Trunk along with the code GNU (see below). This caused their names to be sent back and forth.

Now with all this in mind people designed a similar system by adding Clacks code to their websites. And so did I.
If you have the add-on for Chrome or Firefox you can see which websites do have a Clacks GNU message.
GNU stands for:
G: send the message on
N: do not log the message
U: turn the message around at the end of the line and send it back again
