My Goodbye To SFP (and kinda the forum)

Hey, I know I've never been a person to post regularly, so most probably don't know or remember me, but I wanted to give my goodbye and final thoughts for SFP and the forum. Also, decided to post this in general since it didn't seem approriate for the SFP forum, even though that was my main community.

Welp, never thought I'd say this, but I'm pretty much officially switched out of SFP and in to TS4. Not a day in my life did I think I'd actually drop the money for a Sims game, or for several expansion packs... I'll justify that by saying that they were all half off at the time, lol.

Actually, this has been a long time coming as I bought TS4 back in August. Immediately, I was addicted to the game and played it like I've never played SFP. But I held on to SFP for a few months, updating and trying to remember to log on. I finally pulled the plug sometime in November or December and moved it to an old phone I had lying around. So, while I currently don't play, my game's still there in case I ever decide to go back to it. It's not the current update, though I'll try updating it from time to time for any of my neighbors who might visit.

What truly did it was the long, monotonous gameplay that so many other before me have complained about. The cycle of new update, play for new content for a week or two, then wait another 2-4 weeks for the next update. It gets stale after awhile. I have commitment in another EA game that I stick it out for because of my guild buddies, and even then the gameplay is more rewarding and easier for everyday play
TS4 isn't like that, though. At its base level, it's still a finished game, buying in is totally up to you and not a way of advancing your game. You can literally fall into the rabbit hole of CC and never need to purchase an expansion (given that the CC is base game compatible). Also, I don't feel like I'm missing out in TS4 if I don't have the latest content like I did all the time with SFP. In a way, I think TS4 is healthier for me, even if not for everyone (you have to be able to keep the purse strings tight, lol).

Anyways, guys, it's been a lot of fun here. I've always loved the community, and thank you all for any help along the way. I'm happy to see that the forum is still up and running and active. Hope things work out for everyone and you can continue to enjoy this game. I might stick around in the TS4-related forum, but... *shrug*

Signing off (at least for now),

We will miss you here! I know I needed to take a long break from Sims Free play, and, at the time, thought I would never come back. I find I enjoy the game more, don't feel I have to have every item, and can go a day without checking in if I need to. Thank you for the good review of TS4. I would like to try it someday. Feel free to stop by and say hello from time to time.
