Anyway, those 2 LPs per grid completion have disappointed me as well. I guess that the aerobics mat will stay in my sims houses for decoration purposes only... :D
Since it takes so long to level to 6 in aerobics I'm sure you could get your LP's back faster if you you switched them back to another hobby. I think in cooking they can reach level 6 in about an hour if you use the shortest task. Mine are back to diving, which is my favorite lp hobby. My sims can fill the grid more than once in the time it takes you to do the shortest aerobics task.

Smart! That's what I'm trying to do, also, except I've mobilised some extra sims to fill the new lots of the grid as soon as they get unlocked. It's slow as heck, I gotta say. :/ I'm impressed out of my socks with your achievement. :D

Yes but that's way too much clicking for a lazy person like me  I would usually check the game couple of times a day, so I don't mind long tasks. And since those sims involved in the event got to level 5 already, I decided to let them complete the progress.

Cooking is much more efficient, no doubt about that - if you have the patience. :)

I don't like cooking either because of all the clicks needed. Just use it to reset my divers. :D

It does take forever to unlock them though, I doubt I will get them all... Oh well, my sims are unlikely to do aerobics after the event is finished anyway :?
I wish the clothes were random instead of all changing into the first set. If you change them into one of the other outfits they will stay in it but it would be nicer if the game mixed it up a bit on its own.

Yeah I use diving on my game and it's really good, mainly because so many age groups can do it. Preteen, teenager, and adult can all do it.

Just a note: This event won't ever return as it is not a Limited Time Hobby Event (like the long hair, urban furniture, or outdoor furniture event).

The aerobics hobby event is a permanent part of the game (like the fashion hunter event for the sky diving or the salsa dancing event for the Latin Villa).

The Limited Time hobby events run at the same time for everyone and do return. The regular hobby events don't run at the same time and don't return.
Exactly! :) When I know an event will return I don't care that much because I'll eventually get all of the furniture/hair/etc. This is annoying because unlike the toddler painting hobby, for example, we'll never actually get all of these outfits. They should have made the hobby prize something different. At least with having the clothes unlocked every time we finished a grid we would be using the hobby for some time... now none of us will ever use it.

The reason they've made it so hard is so that they can sell them in the on-line store as '1 female/1 male outfit' bundles for beyond ridiculous amounts of money! And probably why the reward is only 2LPs too, so it makes it more 'attractive' to buy LPs in the on-line store. Their greediness is getting totally out of control! It's gone from try to make a profit to outright fleecing the players.

...but by making the hobby so difficult/non-productive, isn't it less likely that players will spend real money on extra clothing packs to wear while doing it?

Maybe. But some of the outfits are kinda cool and would work for everyday wear. Especially compared to some of the horrible stuff that's in the CAS now. ;) There are a couple I'd love to have but only if I get them with the hobby event or if all the outfits in one bundle for a couple of bucks. But since I don't see that happening w/o a huge amount of luck, I'll just make do with what I have.
