Cannot Catch Brown Trout

Ever since the problem catching only brown trout for however long that went on, I am now stuck at catching everything else BUT brown trout. Is anyone else having this problem?

Same here! I've only been able to catch mutant fish and the blue cichlid. It's also hard to level up in the hobby again.

Same here--so it's not just me! I finally did the lucky spin since that was the last fish left to catch for hours and hours of 4 minute fishing. That worked at least. Since I was going for the posters/wallpapers unlock, it still seemed worth the 3LP to spend to reset it. Now that the only reward is 5 LP, 3 to get the brown trout seems like a huge waste.

Something else frustrating--I tried to use a Sim who was brand new to the hobby to try to catch the brown trout. Failure. That Sim was able to catch level 8 mutant fish (and everything in between) despite only having level 1 skill in fishing.

I just this minute caught a brown trout. Woo hoo!!!! After 2 months of catching everything else. Yay!!!
