Can't visit neighbors without updating!

I haven't played for about a month now and when I try to visit some neighbors it's telling me that they have a more recent version of the game and I have to update to visit them now?? I never did the Life Dream Quest and I have no intention of doing so. Anyone know if I'll be forced into automatic aging if I update? Thanks!

You can find new neighbours who haven't updated neither, it is the more simple solution
