Hi,
The ability to add people through Google Play Games (and get achievements like on Game Center) was added with the Monsters and Magic update.
It works a little differently from adding FB friends. You only need to add someone to one of your circles, as long as they're playing SFP too and have signed in to Google Play Games in the game recently enough, you can visit their towns. They don't have to add you back (same applies to having someone add you, you don't have to add them back, if you don't need more neighbours).
You can post your Google+ profile to allow players to add yoou in this thread.
People who added you through Google+ will NOT be added to your neighbour list in Google Play Games. But in order for them to show in your Sims Freeplay game, you must add them back and put them in the "circle(s)" which SFP has access to. (See below if you have problems).
Mine is: https://plus.google.com/+Perturbee
Update 2017-02-19: Feel free to add me, but expect my town to be in a bad shape as I no longer play the game (and thus not maintain my town).
Happy Simming!
If the people you added don't show up in the game: (and you know they are playing SFP)
I'm assuming you exited the game, started again and also tried a reboot of your device.
If those things didn't help, go to: https://plus.google.com/u/0/circles and check in which "circle" your SFP friends are.
Next go to: https://security.google.com/settings/se ... ions?pli=1 (Alternatively go to http://security.google.com tap on "Connected apps & sites", then "Manage Apps".)
You should see The Sims Freeplay listed, click on it and you'll get: Next click on "Edit List" and enable (and/or disable) circles you want the game to have access to (this should bring up neighbours).
Please note: there is NO default SFP circle, this is one I added myself. Press OK and you're done.
It might be necessary to restart the game (exit through the ... menu, then the little door at the bottom right) or even restart your device (there is no simple way to restart "Google Play Games").
