Sims not crying

Two of my sims have died, one of which was the first one I made. She had some children, a husband, and a lot of friends. But she died and none of the Sims mourned . I was wondering if this is normal or if there is a glitch in the game...

Not a glitch. Originally the life dreams update contained mourning, as well as tasks you had to complete so your sim would get past their grieving. There were many complaints about the actions of the sim while mourning and the tediousness of the tasks, and so FM removed them from the game. Now players create their own actions for mourning (which tends to be more personal for how one grieves). Somewhere on this forum are the ideas that some players came up with in their towns to show last respects for their dearly departed.
