I hope they release an autumn setting soon as well. Sometimes I wonder if they listen to our ideas... Though I do have to say I had been requesting a washer and dryer for years as well. Hope it is on their to do list and just haven't released it yet. Maybe I am the only one who thinks FM has an 'arsenal' of updates ready to go, but have to stagger them out so they can make money.

I hope they change the way we can build walls as well. Oh the design possibilities! Definitely would boost the creativity of the community.

They have to work ahead, I think. For sure right now they aren't working on the next update but a few updates ahead. And probably have at least the next 6 months planned if not directly in development.

Adding patios, balconies, and basements a couple of years ago really reinvigorated the game (at least for me) and I think being able to build rooms like pools would do the same. The best idea we have of what FM are thinking is their surveys. The one they put out in May asked about build mode features people would like to see in the game and one option was removing interior walls. I remember one survey (before basements were added) asked about build mode features and basements were an option for that survey. The survey came out about a year and a half before we actually got basements. So they definitely start planning in advance. Hopefully, depending on the results they got from that survey, we will see some more freedom in home rooms are built!

Moving interior walls would be great. It would be nice to be able to remodel a floor without having to tear down upper floor rooms as well. I also think build mode should have a preview feature so you can lay down carpet, wallpaper, furniture, etc., but not be finally charged until you hit a finished button. Perhaps a running tally could be kept, adding up the price of a carpet, subtracting it when you change your mind, and so on, so you would know what you're spending. I spend two or three times more than I need to just testing things out.
