Lighting Bug?

I’m having a strange issue with lighting on one of my lots. I’ve not checked all the lots in my game but it’s only this one I’ve noticed it on. I’ve not made any changes or added any items to the lot recently.

All of the lighting on the lot keeps switching off and then the rooms light up in different colours  It doesn’t matter if I switch the lights back on again, it keeps happening. I’ve even tried removing the current lights and then putting them back (sort of like when a pool cleaner stops working) but this doesn’t work either.

I’m sure it’s just a bug, kind of like the architect house with the changing walls. I just wondered if anyone else has the same issue.

Ok.....now I’m thinking it has something to do with the HANS quest. Maybe it’s supposed to happen? A taste of what we will be able to do at the end of the quest?

Those lighting looks familiar. Did you place the new HANS Panel (prize of HANS quest) in that house? Because that device can change the colour of your house's lights.

I just started the task "Teach HANS about lighting". Guess, HANS is learning by try and error 😊

Haha well I’m feeling a bit dumb now. I started this quest without even reading what I was doing properly  just grinding through the tasks as we do! I saw dishwashers but didn’t really pay attention to the HANS part. Duh!

I think it’s safe to say I won’t be using this feature very much after the quest is finished. I found it really quite annoying and not at all pleasing to the eye! Especially the very dark blue/violet colour.

The HANS thing may be a nice feature for many players. Guess, I'll place the free one in my HfN and that's it :D But I really like to have the dishwashers for my cooking houses! Not there, yet, but soon :)

I've thought about putting my sims in the body paint and then having HANS turn their house the same color as the body paint for fun. Bonus points if clothes hair and furniture match. But I think that will get annoying very quickly.

I want HANS to control all house lights for simple off, auto and on. That would be handy. Also (dreaming here) to turn off flashing caused by haunted objects. That would allow them to be much more useable.

The dimming and colored lights seem useless.

Didn't I see HANS will eventually be able to open and close all curtains/blinds? That could be handy too.

Here are all the actions for HANS. We can open and close all curtains/blinds but there’s no off, auto, or on for all individual lights. HANS controls lighting separately from the lights we can place. If you do manually turn a light on it cancels out anything HANS is doing for that room. And then manually turning that light off doesn't allow HANS to control that room again, the room remains unaffected by HANS. So you can get it to where only one room of your house is affected by HANS by going around to all the other rooms and turning on/off lights.

Thanks. I didn't have the curtain option when I placed my HANS. So I checked again. I didn't have any windows with curtains in that house! So option didn't show.
