When I opened my game I received a pop up that said there are now stockings available and there would be a stockings tab in the wardrobe menu. I cannot find these. Please help.

I think this might be a premature notification. There is an event using the fashion design hobby to unlock stockings coming about October 24. See the Brilliant Backyards Update thread for the entire update schedule.
