Sims won’t go to work

A few years ago i would do the time skip glitch and this caused my sims to not go to work. The briefcase won’t flash and when I try to click on it, it says “sims have already worked twice today.” Usually it would say once but i bought something thinking my sims should have double shifts and would be able to go to work but they don’t. The only sims that can go to work are ones that i recently created from the point were i stopped doing the glitch. Does anyone know to make all my sims go to work again or is this a permanent punishment?
