White didn't quite work with some and I wasn't able to find the way to outline the numbers with a contrasting colour. I still have the layered version, so I'll dig through the support forum of Paint.Net to see what I can use.

Maybe I'll end up with tiny balloons.

Your map is a great idea! I'm French, so I translated into French for French users. Do I have your permission ? Thank you in advance for your assistance with this.

You mean with a white background? I'm about to redo the current numbers in a different style/colour and experiment with labels for names. I'll probably end up with a few versions people can use.

Sure, you may use and reuse it, as long as it's nothing commercial. :)
Why the changes to numbers? This will not improve the cross-languages street/house indications.

Because before the mysterious island, we started putting numbers on the houses to facilitate exchanges between neighbors and I wanted to keep the same numbers! ;-)

A white background would be nice. The english street names and the numbers are logically and easy to remember. I still can't imagine this map in german :)

I've updated the map(s) with better (outlined) house numbers and street names, I also added the white background version.
