This is so bogus. They announce it like it's a present. Really, they are changing what used to be 6 free stories to stories anyone who hasn't unlocked them will have to get a heirloom to unlock. As in, making the game way more difficult for them.
And what I believe will affect all players (including people who already have completed the stories) is that these new heirlooms will go into the heirloom pool, so increasing the chance of duplicates when you retire a sim or buy an heirloom box with tickets. And thus reducing the chance you'll get a truly useful one you're still missing.
