Regarding the Famous Sims sign, does building it provide benefits for your town, like the monuments on the island?

From the sign upgrade screenshot it is stated that you can get a possible Simoleon bonus to the town revenue collection with the upgraded sign.

So basically it is the same as the island monuments.
Curious about the drop rates of the resources, will 1 be as rare as some of the resources for the monuments?
And will it be just as much a pain to level up?

From the screen shots it appears that the resources for the sign are rewards for finishing the collection. Does at mean that we will no longer receive them as random drops? I noticed they haven't been appearing recently. Maybe they were just testing the idea initially and decided to go the way of rewards instead.

In any case we need to upgrade the sign to level 3 ie we need 5+10+15 = 30 of each resource which means we collect the musical notes 30 times (unless we get random drops) or pay 270 LPs to complete the sign. With regards to the notes, am I right in understanding that one type of musical instrument produces one type of notes? And I presume your teen can use different instruments leading to a general music hobby level up?

My first reaction was also to scream more resources?!
But if they are not random drops and you can get them by having your teen do the music hobby, that seems manageable.
This means you can just grind for them and know you will get them.
If I calculated correct you would just need to complete the music collection 31 times and have all the resources to build the sign to lvl 3 and unlock the Teen Idol Mansion.
And then of course the big question is: how much is that mansion?
Which of course depends on how many houses you have build.

My biggest question is which money should i save to pay the teen mansion. Will it be simoleons ? Will it be LPs ? Or éven worse, Will it be SP ?
