[EVENT] Sleepwear

Does anyone else think this is completely unachievable? I am Strutting my stuff as often as possible but have only got 4 catwalk poses and another 8 to find in about 12 hours which I have no hope of when each attempt takes over 3 hours. This is why I hate this game. I only keep playing because I have put so much time and effort into it.

Perturbee did the math. It's not achievable without LP. She recommended starting the catwalk quest, waiting 15 minutes then using 2 LP to finish as the best way to get it done.

I hope it's possible, I have two sims working on it (one in a neighbours town) and I have one more pose to get to complete the first collection so hopefully if it keeps this way I should be able to complete the whole quest. Gonna save using LPs until near the end if needed.

Good luck everyone :-)

The first grid was ridiculous. There was one pose that would not come up. I used LP and save/reset to make sure I didn't pay for double ups. I found the other four grids were easier.

I have finished the first grid. I did use LP to finish early, and I rolled twice to get the final medal. So, I probably spent about 30 LP for toddler pjs.

It's easier when you do it also at a neighbour's catwalk! Two Sims is a lot faster and the event is achievable without LPs this way.

The total time needed (with one Sim) is:
5 rounds of average 17 turns of 3 hours and 15 minutes. This adds up to 11 and a half days of non-stop catwalking. Nobody can do it non-stop, but I think this is the math they used for the event.

Turns out if you don't have the Mall built building the mall, doing the quest, and cleaning up the areas are all actually part of the quest. After building the catwalk is the goal most of us started with "perform a modeling pose"
Goal 1
Goal 1
Goal 2
Goal 2
Goal 3
Goal 3
Goal 4
Goal 4
Goal 5
Goal 5
I wonder why these goals didn't appear (and instantly validate) for those who already had access to the catwalk? :? But this explains why the quest "started" with 45% of it done.

I think it would be a lot more confusing if they did show the ones completed when having access to the catwalk.

I guess. But haven't there been goals before that required the building of something and you would still get the goal to build it even if you had already built it? I don't know, maybe I'm misremembering...

I feel bad for players who don't have the mall built and the quest done yet. Why have all these new events require so much to be done already? FM should at least give more warning time - release this info with the update.

It has happened, but that always turned out to be a bug (and often broke the quest).

They used to do that with vague hints and dates (at least in the iTunes store), now they don't and it's up to the happy few with crystal balls to bring the (usually bad) news.

They have shown the tendency to make everything extremely expensive these last two updates. The Mall is a good example, but the Castle as well. You have to build the mall (thus pay), unlock areas (and pay again), unlock stores (and pay again) and when you have the clothing unlocked, you have to pay again for each clothing item...
The biggest surprise was the 100LP slap in the face with the Easter egg baskets which used to be only 1LP and don't offer anything except a 5 seconds egg snack (which doesn't inspire a Sim, which you could expect for that kind of price).

At least the sleepwear (and the royal outfits) is free for a change.
