Sims can get married at any location in SimTown now (you will get asked whose house the married couple will live in)
Jack's Icy Door added for those who unlocked it
Woodworking hobby time changes (only 2 options now), woodworking unlocked at level 6
5 New house templates for standard lots
8 new house templates for premium lots
3x2 Triangles rug is the correct rug now
Visual bug where male long hair, mohawks, teens, and toddlers are whited out, texture is wrong on other items, snow isn't on ground
Facebook neighbors glitch is fixed
Time to watch movies is reduced
Teens can now garden
Toddlers don't sit on couches to watch TV anymore
Glitch with sim's legs is fixed
Icy Roof is now a different color than Blue Tiled Roof
Icy fire pit now has a golden circle around the top
The auto-log out of FB is fixed
Winter Wonderland counter-tops are fixed
Sims will eat at the Ice Dining Table now
Screen moves to the sim called to a lot again
No sound when someone is making music
Feeding times for horses are much shorter
When a sim is sitting on the side and watching TV they now look to the TV
Now sims sit back and sometimes yawn while watching TV
Candy canes on some devices have disappeared
Game crashes if you try to add a ladder to a pool while a sim is diving
Multi-Story Renovations quest no longer requires you to complete the first row of the woodworking hobby

We do get a boat to the new island! The dock for it is on the mainland off the shore of the river. It is unlocked at level 11 but also requires a wait for an Event.

VIP goes to level 15 now and sims can get married in any location in SimTown (pop up will tell you that).

Does that mean we don't need to have the beach and LD & L quest completed?

Correct, the Sea Voyage Boat (and thus access to the new island) has nothing to do with the existing beach or the LD&L quest.

For those who unlocked the prize fro Day 3 of the Secret Winter Wonderland quest will have the single closed door added to the game. It's called "Jack's Icy Door" and costs §3,000.

The times for woodworking have changed to just two options: Quick Practice - 5 hours and Carve Magnum Opus - 12 hours 30 minutes.

And there are 5 new house templates. (Standard lots)

The 3x2 Triangles Rug is now the correct rug.
