My gamecentre neighbours have all disappeared

I have not updated yet but mine disappeared too! I logged out and back in to Game Center and all is well again.

And can someone please explain about the Combined Community Progress thingy? It says to get your friends involved. I'm confused, is it supposed to be a neighbours or..?

I got massive heating and battery drain since this new update . Seems to be very buggy this one. I'm not to keen on the new concept. Everything is getting way too expensive and difficult. Hopefully they didn't destroy the game with this update. How the hell are we supposed to get more Sims allowed for our towns if it costs over 11000 Vip points? A 100€ for 500 points makes 2200€! Have they gotten mad completely? Right now I'm thinking about quitting.
