I agree. I think they won't change anything about real estate agent career because it is already linked with architect feature.

I doubt they turn into professions such careers as artist, firefighter, politician, scientist or athlete because I can't imagine two specializations in these careers like performer/director or metro police/special agent. However they can invent something new in this case later.

They could do update about school changing not only professions for adults (teachers) but also including new activities for teens and preteens (students). But it would require a lot of work. The easiest thing for them would be to turn musician into new profession. It's the same pattern they used in movie update (composer/performer).
Athlete could be athlete/coach or two different Kind of athletes (maybe rugby/soccer/football for one and track and fields for the other) with various parts of the stadium to unlock (That's the only one of the existing career venues I really would like to see in detail but only if more then two sims could enter the stadium, so that we can get a cheering crowd). Artist could by painting/scuplture or artist/galery owner. Scientist could be to different Kind of sciences maybe biology and chemistry of physics or astronomy...
Yes athlete/coach would make sense.

For scientist you could have theoretical/experimental.

A survey just popped up in my game. One of the questions is about new professions:

Very interesting list.

Nice to know that they still care about our opinion... at least sometimes

Too bad that there's only 3 professions we can choose out of that list, I can't decide which ones I like the most :o

None of the above :) I'm too tired from the past 2 to even download the upgrade yet.

They don't care about mine....the survey has popped up three times. Each time I go to it, a screen pops up and says I've already completed the survey. Umm, no I haven't.

Nor mine. I didn't even get that survey  And I've updated the game yesterday and been playing almost all day today.

Lenny wrote: Of course it's all about grinding and EAs hope that players rather spend real money then do that. But with hobbies or the community Events one just could set the sims to the task and come back and collect after. With the orbs one could look for a task which suited ones way of playing most. I most like the quests because there one has different tasks to do and sometimes the stories they have written around it are fun. But now with all this different lengths of the tasks and then never the rigth ressources showing up. If we wouldn't at least need the badges to level up, so thatw e could ignore the daily tasks and just grind for ressources like time permits. I hope you are rigth and it's over after 3 updates but surely they find something even more annoying.
I have to agree - the last two updates made me lose interest in the game enough that I didn't check it daily anymore. Maybe once a week if that and even then it would be something like ten minutes of playing. At least with the Doctor update there's a quest, that'll keep me interested for a few days. In theory I like the idea of a hospital but in practice it'll probably be boring. I'm still doing the quest so I haven't seen it.

But the professions are way too tedious - the tasks take too long for me to want to sit around waiting or keep checking back enough that I could have my policemen or actors complete more than a couple of tasks per day. Or perhaps they are too short (and if they were longer, they would also of course have to give more resources). There is just no point in going back to the game every two minutes or ten minutes to restart the Sims on their tasks. The police station report task is the only one that makes sense, that's even short enough to wait for it to complete. And the movie studio task frequency is wrong somehow - it seems that the vast majority of the Sims that show up need to be escorted around but obviously I can't have two Sims do that so a lot of the time I even have to wait for someone else to show up that might have one of the other options. These tasks are just too much of a waste of time.

Oh well, at least the new update got me back to playing a little bit!
