I'm glad that the christmas decors are back in our home store but why are they so expensive? Is it the same as last year's? I have a bunch of candy cane lights in my inventory and I don't think I splurged 50 000 simoleons each for them.

But first, I'm so glad they finally fixed the lag.

I'd rather it was like the tropical romance island--a continual clean-up or whatever that opened up everything...I guess we'll see!
I fully expect this to be like the other community events where we can possibly open everything during this go-round. I think the wording is to imply that the events themselves will repeat like the Spa Event returned not that will get the magical rainforest in bits and pieces.
That us what I'm hoping for! I hadn't thought of the "occasional" referring to them repeating the event but that does seem to be the trend.

One free snowglobe in featured items, then price $27,500 each ($50,000 each regular price.) Prices on many items much higher than I recall. $100,000 each, sale $50,000, for candy cane yard lights. Yikes!

Also just got notice of marketplace event (all profession sites) with top prize one dapple reindeer coming soon.

Oh wow I just noticed this thanks to your post. :o
Xmas lantern - $27,500 ($50,000 without discount)
Candy canes even more expensive than staircases!

Is it a glitch or something? I'd never thought that decorative items would costs so much.

And yes, I also got the pop up for reindeer marketplace event.

Has anyone else noticed that when you go into your inventory, the icon for community events has changed to a fairy instead of the one for the spa update.

Not only the prices on Christmas items are expensive, even the online bundles are getting more expensive. $20 per bundle. What happened to the $1-$2 price range? I think FM is raising the limit to see how far people are willing to spend online. If people bite the $19.99 bullet, then that would be standard for future online items. No more cheapies.
