The sims freeplay Facebook page says the update is live.
Update is live!
Changes
Some NPCs will now appear in the Simtracker
Actions for Ponder, Rest Eyes, Catch Some Zs, and Have a Nap are different
There's a pop now for new architect homes, tapping yes will take you to an available lot
Can place furniture outside next to windows with curtains

I saw but I don't see the update in the App Store yet

I have the update on my iPad but don't notice anything different

Check the downtown area. There's a new building. Once you build the high school the Teacher's Pet discovery quest starts.

The tiny pig is so cute! I have just the sim family to keep a pet pig.

The fairy from island castle appears on sims panel but both function buttons greyed out. Some complications of pets/npc?

Will the piglet show up in pets store?
Waiting for high school gameplay info, will check M2 preview later. I wish they erase the old school and change it to 2 premium home lots.

I'm not sure what you mean. On the pet store nothing appears amiss with the fairies and when I tap on one at a home lot nothing is greyed out, either.

Yes, the pig will be in the pet store. I have yet to see it dig for currency, though.
The high school reminds me of the castle on the island. The hobby unlocks rooms to build. You know, just another building no one will go to unless it's for a weekly task.

It is so so weird to me that the class clown hobby is apparently for teens and adults, not teens and preteens. Why are the adults attending school? Now I'm just picturing Steve Buscemi in 30 Rock.
