[LIVE EVENT] Wedding Presents
Stations
This event uses the same stations as previous Live Events.
We still have to progress through the personal prizes to unlock the different craft stations to use. So while you may have them in your inventory they are unusable until you unlock them again.
Prizes
Requirements
Candles - 13,600
Pottery - 65,110
Jewelry - 61,800
Glassware - 47,000
CC's - 725
Restocking
7 actions are stocked when you purchase a station from the home store.
After those 7 are used it takes 2.5 hours to restock it for 9 uses or 10 SPs to restock for 18 uses. If you are using SP it is better to pay the 10 to get 18 uses as speeding up the 2.5 hour takes 9 SPs
Placing a station into your inventory will take away any stocked uses left in that station. If you want to move a station to another lot it is best to do it when it has 0 stocked uses left.

Note that the Car Dealership has to be built to claim the final prize. I guess the big question is, if it's not built do you:
1.) lose out on the prize?
2.) become forced to build it on the spot?
3.) get the prize if and when you build it?

My guess is 3. I think that's what happened, anyway, when players unlocked other cars from events or hobbies (police car, surfer's van) but didn't have the dealership built.

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Wedding Presents
They increased the requirements a lot compared to the last 7 day event which was Custom Closets. Candles are the only item with lower requirements. But I think the pottery stations unlocked much sooner this time.
Candles 13,600 vs. 18,400
Pottery 65,000 vs. 51,745
Jewelry 61,800 vs. 42,650

Wow, prices are following the recent sky-high range I see. At least none are LP or SP.

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Wedding Presents
Is it just me or are the milestone prizes not just more expensive (as expected) but also more skimpy and underwhelming than usual? Sure, some are nice little decorations, but you only get one or two per reward pack it seems, and nothing looks so interesting to be worth all that WORK. Hairstyles are always nice, but I think I already have some similar ones? The updo from the wedding event looks similar to one of these, I think... All in all, pretty lame event in my opinion, unless you really want that car (which is maybe what they are counting on.)
Also, I want more SEPARATES for my ladies, not yet another set of outfits!
(Maybe one day there will be a gangster event and I'll finally get some properly badass threads for my less girly ladies... one can dream...)

Dare I say, a 'tad' more reasonably than the last event? (Except for that car of course...)

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Wedding Presents
One item per pack is so annoying; and to think we have to spend so many CC and Candles/Pottery/Jewelry/Glassware for it!
Also, who has ever given a toilet stand to someone as a wedding gift?

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Wedding Presents
To say I’m underwhelmed about all the prizes and their cost is very much an understatement.
If it wasn’t for the fact that I’m a bit of a completist and control freak I sooo wouldn’t be bothering with this latest event. As it is I’ll play but do my best not to freak if I’m not able to time everything down to the minute which is what’s happened in the past. Part of the reason for the (hopefully) lackadaisical attitude is that the prizes are things I’m unlikely to buy after getting the free one. Especially the stupid car. I mean, am I wrong in thinking that until FM started jacking the prices into the stratosphere §2,000,000 would be most (if not all) of the cost of many of the fancier non-architect houses on a premium lot? How are newer and less active players supposed to find fun and enjoyment in the over-priced grindfest that SFP has become?
And speaking of outrageous prices, I think we should no longer call them events or quests or whatever but instead call them exactly what they are - money grabs. So, for example, this one is the Wedding Presents Money Grab. Why not tell the truth instead of trying to sugar-coat it?
Okay ::sigh:: early morning rant over. Sorry and thanks for “listening”.
