I think the goal said 'Sing Carols' but I wasn't awake enough so don't know for sure. That's the problem with doing these things half a sleep
So it's very well possible that you just needed to sing carols with anybody or equally possible that is another goal mixed up. Just remembered the vacuum so let them sing to that. Now they're listening to Santa's story.
Good to know that the last goal completes at start, that should make it do-able without spending lps.
I just noticed that you can have two cats or two dogs in the same house (is this new???). In fact, if you get your two cats (or two dogs) from the petshop in town you can use 'relocate' pet from another sim's house to get three pets under the same roof (either two moggies and a mutt, or two mutts and a moggy), and probably a reindeer too if you use 'relocate'.
My sims' houses and gardens are now overflowing with fur babies of all kinds

PS reindeer are cute and they also search for treasure, rearing up and shaking their antlers when you tap their '!'

Yes, it's new that we can have two cats or two dogs But actually not more than two pets at all. I didn't see yet, that we can relocate a deer to a family who has two pets already.
Currently you can have much more pets in one family. Samantha has got a cat, a dog and two reindeers ... For my game it's enough

Hey again everyone, I would like to say that the brown deer is still free in my game after I got my first... Santa thanked me 3times for saving Christmas (the message appeared 3days in a row) and after I got my first brown reindeer, the brown one was still free! So I made use of this and got myself two free reindeer instead of one... I guess I wanted those reindeer so badly...
