Those chichi heels are the bane of my existence! It took five tries to get it when unlocking my second hairstyle and I have at least 15 sims on it.
I'm really liking the new styles though, especially the dashing Afro and the dreads. Most of the previous male styles look so ridiculous on black male sims so I'm really excited for these.
I hope they come out with more flattering Afro-textured styles for female sims because I hate all the current ones. The braids are too scalpy, the locs are an awkward length with an ugly headband, and the Afro is too stereotypical 70s. They could do so much better!

I just want to take 10 seconds to tell you guys how helpful you are regarding the play of SFP.
Everyone's contributions are greatly appreciated and super helpful...thank you all!

The chi chi heels are taunting me. Repeat after repeat trying to get them. Then a round comes along where they came up early. Yay, I thought, until I got them 3 times in a row!
By the way, what's with the red "striped" shirt that's actually a plaid fabric? Or am I being USA-centric and that fabric is called striped somewhere in the world?

Re: [EVENT] The Charming Barber
I feel like they might have tweaked the Chichi heels. I went almost a full 24-hours without a single appearance of the Chichi heels while trying to get the 4th hairstyle in my second game yesterday but then while working on the 5th hairstyle they were the second-to-last item I got (still a bit of a wait for them) and now I'm on the 6th and the ChiChi heels were the 7th item I got.
I haven't been taunted with them yet like SKatF (how aggravating!) but in my main game it was highly annoying to get the ChiChi heels on the third sim after the event was over.
Here's hoping I didn't just jinx myself. *fingers crossed*

Having to do the exact same action dozens of times just to overcome the inherent random factor* and unlock one of the many virtual graphics you need to complete one of many grids (which you all have to finish in a specific time period). I'm doing it, like all of you, because the guys desperately need some new hairstyles, but no sane person could possibly consider this purely mechanical chore fun in and of itself. There's no skill involved, no story, no creativity, just tapping the screen until you finish, and with the pressure of having to do so before a certain time!
(*Actually, it's almost certainly not random, it's deliberately stacked against you).
Sometimes you have to take a step back and laugh and how ridiculous your life has become.
Maybe it's best not to think about it... ?

Re: [EVENT] The Charming Barber
Yeah, after that 24 hours without a single chichi heel they weren't as rare. For the 7th hairstyle they were the last item needed but it didn't take too long to get them and for the 8th hairstyle they were the 6th item I got. Glad to be done in both my games!mockingbird288z wrote:I feel like they might have tweaked the Chichi heels. I have been trying to complete this event and I have spent at least 2 or 3 hrs each day and I still have 4 hairstyles to complete, I'm wondering if I have the most difficult sequence or I don't play enough. :/

Re: [EVENT] The Charming Barber
How many sims do you have doing the hobby? In my main game I had almost 30 and it took about 12 hours to complete. On my second game I had 10 sims working on it and it took about 2.5 days. For my main game I was trying to log in about every 10 minutes.JakeSim wrote:I have been trying to complete this event and I have spent at least 2 or 3 hrs each day and I still have 4 hairstyles to complete, I'm wondering if I have the most difficult sequence or I don't play enough. :/
