Good thought. Switching careers is possible. It costs simoleans, but you do get a message that it saves your place in your former career. So you can change around if you're willing to spend the simoleans.

As soon as I unlock it, will switch. What I'm getting now for ASOS coins is pathetic. Haven't gotten any all day from careers, hobbies, or relationships. Doing ASOS tasks as soon as the timer allows.
I have the career story unlocked now, but haven't figured out how to start it yet. Maybe I need a new sim (ie retire one) so I can add the trait. Anyone who has digured it iut, please coach us slowtops!

I think you just tap on it? And then pay to switch? I'm not sure I want to actually do it so I haven't tapped on it.
Edit: It only costs 25 simoleons for my sim to switch so I may just go ahead a do it.
Edit again:
It acts like just any other career story. No extra ASOS token bonus.

How do I unlock the Asos Fashion Forecast Story? Do I need to have a sim thatis 100% complete in Trending Now Career? I am already Level 31 Talk of the Town, still have not seen the Briefcase Logo in the Asos Runaway.
I am 1270/3000 in Asos rewards & activities. Maybe I am behind here that's why the Asos Career is still not available? Anybody has ideas?
You have to buy 1500 worth of ASOS clothes to get the heirloom and start the Fashion career story. From what I've seen, you do not have to be complete in the original fashion story. The briefcase will appear in the fashion house only after 1500 has been bought in ASOS clothes. If you have a sim already in the fashion career, you have to switch its career and then start the new fashion career.
Feeling ya. Am still 229 away from the fashion career and seriously doubt I'll make the 3000 before it ends.

I only needed to spend 1,285 tokens to unlock it and the green bar is a little past the tick for the fashion story so I don't think 1,285 is needed but a little less than that.

So just like the Katy Perry outfits in FreePlay were designed after her real touring outfits the ASOS clothes are based on real pieces of clothing!
Someone posted about this on reddit but some of the screenshots weren’t exactly “Forum friendly” if you get my drift so I went on a hunt myself.
For some of these pieces I see now the art designers and coders for Mobile did the best they could...
I've put the real names of the outfits in the captions of the pics in case anyone was interested in looking like their sims! There is a male version of the wool beret but I didn't include pics because the one shown looks more like the female one. But the male version is just called ASOS Beret in Red.

That’s cool that they are based on real ASOS items!
It’s also funny because I’d been thinking most of the clothes were horrible and wondering why they designed them for the event
