Evie, I love your vision! Especially the different life stages. It was always weird to have a toddler go to child... then teen. So they're a child from what, 3 to 12?! I love the different colored moods too. Religion and politics? Are you sure you want to go there?! It's not something I would want to incorporate into my game but as long as it's optional then who cares, lol! You'll probably get many differing opinions over what will work and what will not but, in the end, it's YOUR vision. :)

Hope y'all have a great weekend at the PAX thing and stir up lots of interest!
Hey again!
In regard to the religion and politics, I'd never want to go too far with it. When I say I was inspired by religion in Sims Medieval, I also mean it being generally light-hearted and not directly copying off real religions but rather made up ones. I want to have different neighbourhoods (made up between 5 to 10 houses) that have traits like family-friendly or party-focused and a neighbourhood trait could be a where many people from this religion go. A church could be nearby and perhaps there's a weekly little ceremony but it's mainly about finding news ways for Habs to be personalised, form communities and socialise. All of this would definitely be optional. If there's one thing I really want to stress with this Sims alternative, it's for the player to have more choice in how they play with life.

And we reckon PAX went well. Chatted to some really lovely journalists who can hopefully get the word out. Thanks!

That sounds great, Evie. I've never played Medieval so don't really know how they worked the religions but as long as it's optional and not something the habs must that sounds great! So many people are non religious today, at least in this country. Another thing that bothers me is those silly zodiac signs. I would love for all that to be optional in the game too because I think they're ridiculous. I'm also aware that a lot of people like them so I just ignore them. :)

Hope the journalists get y'all out there and upfront! Meanwhile, do you have a current link to the kick starter? Several of us have looked and can't find it. And the countdown clock seems to have reset?

Hi ZeeGee,
Re:the clock, my bad. The KS will launch today, we're doing final tweaks to the project page. We've received excellent feedback and ideas on how to make the KS page look so much better, but it will be there later today our time. We're almost there, and we've been assured there will be coverage on what we're doing, so fingers crossed. Thanks again for your support

Kickstarter is now live, and we've got our first contributor - one of the journalists who interviewed last weekend at PAX AUS. So funny, one journo turned up to see if we were real or whether it was a stunt - hilarious!
Here is the link
We'll have an updated graphic for the look'n'feel later this week from our concept artist I'm told. I'll keep you up to date on that, we're getting FB feedback along the same lines - "toony look".

I've tweeted till my fingers bled ... (I'm sure that's an old Bryan Adams lyric), and we're getting some great press coverage with more to come, check this out http://goto.game/habs-potential-aussie-competitor-sims/ , the web traffic is building for sure, getting onto the Sims forums is difficult as our message is not necessarily welcomed - our Community Manager has had a number of requests knocked back.

Lol, yeah sounds like Bryan Adams. 😂 I’ve seen that article! And I posted a link to it on the sims forum. You can look at threads on the forum without being a member. I wanted you to see what simmers are saying over there. Some have some good advice

Does anyone know why the kickstarter was closed on 11/04? Not finding much information on the page?

Hi, Ray from Revie here,
We pulled the Kickstarter because we were getting killed on the toony look of the artwork, it killed any buzz for the project so rather than persist, we're regrouping. We'll be getting some additional artwork and looking to build community. We'll be back to you very shortly with a forum and some other goodies to see if there really is a community out there that wants an alternative to what's available. Thanks for your interest. Ray
