Sims 4 on Windows 10

Post by Mina01 » 30 Dec 2018, 17:21

Hi.

I'm looking at buying a new laptop and I have a choice between getting Windows 7 or Windows 10.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience playing sims 4 on Windows 10 and if so does it work alright?

I really don't want to pay the money for both the laptop and the sims and then discover that they don't work together very well.

Many thanks to any advise,

Mina

Hi,

I'm not sure what your reasons might be to buy a laptop with windows 7 as it's already out of mainstream support and only extended support will last until January 2020. According to Microsoft there shouldn't be any new machines on the market with windows 7 since October 2016. (See: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... fact-sheet )

It works fine under windows 10, but what really matters is the hardware. Carl's Guide has some specifications available and rule of thumb is to go for recommended as minimum is really the bottom end. See this page for the details: http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/syste ... ements.php

Good luck in finding a good machine
