The marketplace events are also a little easier the more upgraded your workplace is. The percentage of the workplace completion affects the amount of points you get for the box.

I was not able to ride a broomstick in my game. Not sure if it is just a glitch, but my Sim was unable to walk on the driveway as well. I didn't test cars at all. I assume they work ok. I like the idea of walking the dog in the park. But they would need to stay close or we would need a leash.
