WHY are these updates so bloated?

I've been trying to update the game on my poor old iPad since Friday (didn't dare try to update it during the week when I need my iPad for work!) The update is 1.2GB. That's ridiculous. I had what I thought was plenty of room for an update, after all, to download the game from scratch is 1.33GB. It shouldn't only be slightly less for an update. My iPad has been crashing constantly since Friday. Now I'm trying to download it from scratch and it's still crashing. If I can't get this downloaded by the morning, I'm going to have to wait another week before I can try again.

Try clearing all the cookies on your iPad and basically get rid of all other crap? You’d be amazed how much crap they store.

I was throughly ashamed of how clogged up my iPad was
