[SIMCHASE] Seasons 2, 3 and 4 - Re-runs (7 days)

Post by ErinPW »

If you played a SimChase Season before, but did not complete it while the first time, you have to go through all episodes again. The unlocked prizes from episode 2 and 5 are still unlocked but you‘ll get another one of each for free.
(Thanks for this info to a friend who did the re-run of Season 1.)

:!: After opening the game and tapping "Start Chase" the following episodes will start at the same time every day.
To start the event check in with SimChase's hirsute host Kam Ham at the Nightclub.

These events follow the same pattern since SimChase Season 2. While the tasks have changed, the numbers of sims, items, times and costs remained the same. Therefore we have prepared this topic for the whole Seasons already, just without detailed tasks.
Of course it's always possible that the developers build in changes. We will only find out when the episodes appear in our games. Therefore, all information without guarantee!

SimChase FAQ on ea.com

Note:

The times mentioned in the game are based on 3-star-objects.
Numbers of sims, clues or items to be found and costs may vary. (Probably depends on the game-level and if you have purchased the boost.)
If you want you can skip tasks at the menu or shorten tasks at the sim. Both amounts are mentioned in brackets behind the tasks. The costs at the sim will go down a while after starting the task, the lowest amount is 9 SP.

Mastery tasks:
To start these tasks it will either cost lots of simoleons or SP.
If you're hard up for cash it's probably best to do all the other tasks and then use the skip episode button to complete the episode. (See Leah’s post here. Except for episode 6 where the SP-amount for starting the task is below the one for skipping the task.

Collecting tasks:
The „Quick Complete to get extra items!“ is true, but it will cost at least 9 SP per sim if you wait long enough. The amount will be quickly over the one for skipping the whole task.

With clothes and hair styles I never know what event unlocks what age group. Wish the developers would mention it / label it accordingly. What has been bothering me for ages too: Ingame Sims are categorized in toddlers, preteens, teens, adults, seniors. At the cash shop they occasionally have tween style clothing. Is that for teens or adults? Consistency would be nice to have.

So, the current chase rerun: hairstyles for adults or some younger category?

The Grand Prize „Summer Groove“ is for adult female sims. (I‘m going to add that information to the post with screenshots.)

I agree, consistency in wording within the game would be nice!
Tween is a preteen. The preview at the Online Store does reveal this. At least on my tablet; the preview on my phone has too tiny pictures for my eyes :?

The Simchase season 3 rerun stole my content.

Anyone else?

I had previously collected all prizes except episode 2 (the tables). I just won the tables last night during the re-run. Yay!

But this morning I realized the chaise lounges and fireplaces from episode 5 are now missing from my game 😤. I really don’t want to have to “earn” them again (bc I hate Simchases like everyone else on planet earth 🌏). Will the Monkeys be able to fix this?

I got them when this chase was released the first time and they are still there.
Probably you have looked through the cluttered store over and over already. When I searched them to take the screenshots I looked through the outdoor -furniture and -decorations tabs several times. Finally I found the chaises in the livingroom section between the two-seaters. (They are three-seaters.)

For sure I‘d ask the Firemonkeys for help!

Season 3, Episode 5

3rd task: Seafood Spread! Can your Sim serve up the perfect summer prawn? Have a Sim cook prawns on a BBQ. - 4 hours

There are many posts that the BBQs from home store don‘t show this task. Only the BBQs at the park can be used. Possibly also BBQs at other public locations. But all of them only have 1 Star, so the time adds up by about 1 hour.

If you are short on time and think about using SPs, it may be better to skip the other 5 hours task for 10 SPs „Frozen waters! An ultimate test of grit! In a Bathtub, have your Sim endure an ice bath. - 5 hours“

This stumble stone seems to be new. I didn’t find a hint at the older topic.

UGH! Of course I left that task for last! Glad to know it’s not just me having that issue… But, now I’m gonna have to most likely use SP so that I don’t lose out on that dang prize!
