Changing the hairstyle of a sim in a retired costume?

Post by Silvestris »

I have a sim in the elf (?) costume, which is no longer available.

Whenever he changes out of the outfit (sleep, work, swim) he has a different hairstyle.

if I give him a new hairstyle, he'll lose the costume and I won't be able to select it again.

Does anyone know a way around this so he can have a regular hair style while keeping the costume?

I'm afraid it's just something you'll have to learn to live with. It also happens with some of the hairstyles that aren't the 'basic' colors. For example: I have a male adult w/ one of the newer cuts in the lighter blond & when he changes into his athletic job clothes he magical grows a black afro. Highly annoying but since his hair stays the same for everything else I ignore it.

The game is full of little bugs like this that we just have to accept unfortunately. In the long run, if there's an outfit or hairstyle that you love but isn't around any not trying to change it is probably better rather than risk losing it. Better safe than sorry.
