Yah, Hershel is grandpa for one of my four babies. He's retired so he's available to help out wherever. Rosita mostly takes care of the twins. She babysits, does sewing and does cleaning for folks. She doesn't have a green card so she can't take a real job. I think Hershel likes her though so who knows??? Once Skye opens daycare when they are toddlers Rosita will help there.ohiocat wrote:katgames... Hershel and Rosita look like fun babysitters!

Re: Baby question again
Oh geeze, every one of us have gone thru this. It's very distressing because you want to take care of them. There is nothing you can do. They eventually go red and then you can continue to wait I am told and they eventually go to the bathroom and it turns green. I couldn't stand it after awhile so I used the cupcake that burns LP. Now if I'm not interacting I keep them hibernating. If I need to cancel all I lose is the XP. This way they stay sorta half way but green. It's very frustrating.Hufflepuff Karen wrote:Molly has arrived! But how do I make her toilet symbol green? I've changed her diapers 4 times, fed her, had people cuddle her, changed her again, finally set her to hibernate while Uncle Lee bakes a cake, in case I want to grow her up when the children's store is finished.
If anyone knows anything else... I have never found a solution. Congrats on Molly. They look like a very happy family. I really enjoy my babies. I keep waiting to get tired of them to move onto toddlers and hasn't happened yet.

Re: Baby question
Thanks! I feel bad - thought she had a dirty diaper even though I changed her so many times (strange method of diaper changing, if you ask me - tossing a newborn in the air like that, in real life, you'd be asking for a visit by CPS for shaken baby syndrome or something. I thought they would hold their noses, moves their hands around and then their own hygiene would drop until they washed their hands). My goal is to build the children's store and it's going to take 36 hours. Thought I'd do that, see what's in there and then decide when to have her grow up. Cake will be done tonight and if I read everything right, I can save it until we're ready to have the birthday, whether it's tomorrow or next week. I save my LP to finish buildings, so tomorrow morning, if I want to finish the store early, I should be able to do that for 5 LP or less. I don't mind waiting since I have to go to work today - save my LP for when I am off and want to activate something so I can play with it.
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Re: Baby question
When I had my first Sim baby, its red toilet bar was stressing me out too! I thought I was doing something wrong when I couldn't figure out how to make it green. Then again, it's quite logical when you think about it, I mean that's how it works with real life babies: their toilet needs will grow until they soil their diaper, and the only thing an adult can do is change the diaper.
Haha, yeah! But hey, now we know why all the sims change their clothes by jumping up and spinning in the air - they were conditioned to do so when they were little babies and their parents had strange methods of changing their diapers!Hufflepuff Karen wrote:strange method of diaper changing, if you ask me - tossing a newborn in the air like that, in real life, you'd be asking for a visit by CPS for shaken baby syndrome or something.
