I look forward to my daily mail to help increase my simoleons. My town value is about 17.5 million now and my daily mail reward is about 87 thousand. Does the amount you get in the mail daily keep on increasing indefinitely or is there a cap? Just wondering about those with huge town values and how many simoleons they must be able to collect daily without any extra effort. Must be nice.

Wow.. didn't even think about that as a substantial source of revenue. I am barely getting §5K in the mail each day. Nice, sure, but nothing that will buy you a third story on your beach house yet. 8-)

If I'm not mistaken the daily reward is equivalent to about 5% of your town value. I remember doing the numbers on this a while back.

yeah, that must have changed... I am at §3 million town value. 5% should net me 150,000 a day, and I get 5,000+

that is about 0.15% of TV. Shoot if I was even getting 0.5%, the $15k would be sweet.

I believe with one of the last updates they changed the percentages and people are either getting less or they just put a cap on it. I Think players who have been playing since Before the update still get the higher amount, probably because it would greatly effect their play if their amount dropped.

Players correct me if I'm wrong! (I don't usually play with stats & am occasionally inaccurate)

As the town value increases, so does the cost of everything, (houses) and it increases the time it takes to level up. I have 4 games going on 4 different devices: my first town is at level 40 with 22 Sims worth $15million. It takes much longer to move up a level and get more Sims than my newer game worth $2m at level 32 and 18 Sims. In the 15m town I built a new house for each new sim because I wanted to see all the styles! In the newer game I build a new house for every 4 Sims and have built few town buildings to minimized my town value, but I can level up and get more Sims in half the time. So the game can be played many different ways... Now that I've seen all the houses, I like concentrating on moving up levels and getting more sims. Oh- one other difference is the daily mail reward (which is a % of town value) - my $15m town earns $79k each day !!!! Sweet! But my $2m town only earns $14k daily- that's a BIG difference! Happy Simming!

Yup, they must've changed it. My TV is around 32mil and I get about 158,000 in daily reward.

somewhere during the reset of the percentages, I got stuck behind the new values from the beginning

My towns are in the § 7,500 range, TVs range from 74 million to 11 million. TVs have apparently nothing to do with it. My oldest town used to be on the 0.5 % of TV, but after a crash it resetted to the new algorithm.

So the reported 14k is of before the change (I think it was January this year?).
