Yes, there have been several!
The last unique item was the Ice Hockey net in Climate Control, Moving Up featured the "Alien Transporter" (if I'm not mistaken about the uniqueness), and many more before that.
I'm sorry if this has been asked 100x, but can I get past update items like the Christmas stuff ex.? Thanks
No, unless FM ever decides to bring unique items back, but that makes them less unique. Almost every unique item was related to doing something within the amount of time given, if you did not make it, tough luck. This update (and I think Living Large as well) did not have any unique items.
The upside is that you can now see and use those items at neighbours who have them out in their town.
On a side note, Moving Up also had the red U and L shape couches and some marble tables as unique items.

I dun think you can get that stuff now. Like the Haunted House... At least I have not seen any of it. I think you have to have been around. Maybe they will do another Halloween thing-- or recycle the old one. But that's just what I think. I haven't been playing very long.
Oh thanks, yes that would be so nice if they would redo them. I sure hope they do.
i think the only thing they brought back for everyone was the bunny outfit which was for easter 2012 i think.
speaking of bunnies ... have many people visited THE GREAT E.B. in my town ? located at 1 firehouse road.
btw for me:
27760844 TV × 0.005 = 138,804.22 DR
1/2 of 1% or .5% or tv x 0.005 = dr
SFP tv ~ 41,435,102
im nothing but empty shell

Rather than creating a new thread, I thought I'd ask here. Am I correct in assuming that the town value increases by 10% of the value of the items that you put in your houses?
I have a lot of empty lots. I was thinking of farming LPs to build the Sci-Fi Shuttle everywhere since they boost the town value the most. FYI, boosting the tv is ok for me since I'm one of the older players that get 0.5% of the town value in daily reward.

Building up town value also increases the time it takes to earn Xp and move up levels and get more sims- Sooo I have opted to hold on any more increases until I have maximum number of sims- then I'll just build and play- I'm at level 41 with 22sims and 15.8million TV. So I'm satisfied with my daily reward of $80K- I have $10million and 600Lp... Decide what your immediate gold is and you can decide how much to increaseTV. It takes me about a week to move up a level on this game- I have an old phone I keep just to play another game of sims and with less town value I'm moving up 2 levels in a week. Hope this helps

That's what I have been doing for awhile. Lucky for me though I already had a high enough TV that after awhile I can afford the 2 story house to boost my TV even more.

I have always assumed that, like in every game I have ever played on a computer or mobile device, the amount of XP needed to level up increases with every level. Moving up from level 1 to level 2 is a lot faster than moving from level 30 to 31 regardless of your TV. Just like the houses don't get more expensive as TV increases they get more expensive based on how many houses you have.

If you have money and you want to boost your Town value, on our French forum someone found a Quicker and easier way than the sci-fi houses (they take time to be built). Your build a giant swimming pool on a lot and you change the color of your pool again and again and again ....

Updated, everything built but the volcano (Please, don't look at my mistakes in English, my French iPad always puts capital letters and accents everywhere)
Ah ... brilliant! Will give that a go.
On another note, I knew that as you level up, it takes longer and longer to er ... level up. However, I didn't know that as your tv goes up, it also affects your xp gain. Is this true?
