I was gonna say, I know I'm kind of a newbie pest, but I hope I'm not spam! I saw those - that person posted in 3 threads, something about health remedies. I reported them for bring way off topic so Perturbee would see them. Maybe a bot. Definitely not a Simmer!
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Yep. Funny how these bots are getting better at appearing human like. I remember bot posts that used to make no sense and just have links all over them.

Hi all. I have been playing Sims Freeplay for a week now. I visited one of my neighbors towns (trying to complete the "photograph a ghost" goal). The house had several of those zombie people in it, but it had this gorgeous swimming pool. It was so inviting, dogging the zombies, I had my sim take a dip in the pool. I forgot how many minutes it was supposed to be, but, in a flash she was out of the pool, so I put her back in. The same thing happened, except this time she had like a cloud of dirt enveloping her. I was like horrified. Needless, to say, I was at a loss to what happened. I sent her home and researched how to restore her. I could not find any answers, so I put her in the tub and this cleaned her up. Can anybody tell me what caused this? Those zombies are creepy!

If your sim goes swimming in a dirty pool, their hygiene drops really fast. Clean pools are very clear light blue. Dirty pools are sort of greenish blue. If you ever have the goal to send them to work with low hygiene, the quickest way to make them dirty is have them jump in a dirty pool or clean up the pee from a zombie sim with the mop every sim keeps in their pocket :)

I was always under the impression that the zombie sims are because the game is running from whenever your last save was? So if I do a manual save while my sims are all engaged in whatever activities, someone might come along hours later and see sims in various stages of being run down. And if it is while I'm unable to save for a long stretch then it is likely at least some of them will be zombies. Particularly if I can't save for say a day, either because I'm away from the game or am doing some long goal at a neighbors. The reason some might be zombies, and others normal, as I understand it, is some might have been near the end of an activity when saved, while others might have been just starting something long, so have a longer time that they are inspired.

When I have time and think about it I'll try to get most of my sims engaged in some very long activity like the 16 hour reading, if I'm going to be away, or have a long goal to do, save to the cloud and then cancel the activity after and go back to what they were doing. Then most of them will be functioning and clean for longer.

When I had to download my saved data while one of my sim was working on a 24-hours task at home, I made the same experience. The hours are going on. Another experience is, that the needs of an unoccupied sim drop down faster in the cloud. If you want to read a description click this topic. But I'm not sure whether it becomes better, if the Tempest Of Bliss is on a high level.

Like yours, also my sims usually get 24-hours tasks before I save. Then I also cancel the actions and let them work on their hobbies or whatever they can do. I think, we can't do more to avoid Zombies in our town, in case a visitor has to stay very long.

Btw. The big book of stuff from a 1-star bookshelf takes 24 hours, too :)

Ah hah! That is why your Sims read so much! I had not thought of this, so may have been delivering potential Zombie Sims to the cloud. Yuck! Do any of my neighbors find Zombie Sims in Blackbrittown?

I will try to remember to implement this. I save often, but not with Sims doing long tasks. Oh no.
