Someone posted on Perturbee's blog that it takes a toddler only 5 minutes to bribe ducks!

Such a good tip! Five mins and Lilly was done with the bribing ducks business although where she got the caviar is anyone's guess!

I hate having to buy items over and over. I already have 2 3-star stereos. I don't want another one. I already have a cat and dog and now I have to buy another dog.

The timed goals where I have to do something at a time I may not be up. Or I just plain forget about it... I got a goal on a friday telling me I had to take a nap on a saturday, easy enough. Except I completely missed it somehow and didn't realize it until Sunday so had to wait another week! Grrrrr! I wish that you could pick a designated Sim to just do that goal for you even if you're not around. I wouldn't even care if the Sim couldn't do anything until that time, I just want to be able to get it done without worrying about it or setting alarms. Or you know, just be able to do it now! LOL

And these goals that take way too many hours to complete. I saw about the Bribe Ducks one and that I could get a toddler to do it in only 5 minutes, except I didn't have a toddler so off with one of my Sims to talk to ducks for 24 hrs looking like a crazy person lol

Yes, that would be a great idea. Maybe one day they will!

I just move the clock from my ipad to the right time. Just make sure you shut down the game before moving the clock and when you set the right time again. No problem at all!

The game can be damaged/currupted in a few ways by changing the actual clock.
The safest way to do timed goals is changing the time-zone and not more than 6 hours away from yours. Notifications might not appear for a while though, but it doesn't affect the game clocks in a negative way, unlike changing time or much worse, tampering with the date.

I definitely dislike goals that require me to wake up hours earlier than I usually would--I just pay the LP to skip those! Thankfully I can earn the LP back quickly with a few sims on woodworking or doing a ghost hunt. I also don't really care for those long goals with very little rewards (like hibernate for a day ) but one of my "worker class" sims is always available to do those ones. If it's part of a quest, such as the Higher Education Quest, then I don't actually mind it because I know there's a point to the whole thing. Bribing the ducks for 24 hours was rough, but I knew that the "get promoted to level 2 politics" was coming afterward, so that gave me enough time to get my girl promoted twenty minutes after the bribing was completed (which gave me enough time to complete the goal in between those two, so it was very well co-ordinated!) I didn't have a toddler around at the time I got that task, but it actually worked out better to have one of my worker class guys do it so the new politics girl could work on her job level.

What annoys me most is getting a goal that requires me to go up 4 levels before I can complete it! That's what happened to me with my social goals. I got a goal to burn waffles at a neighbor's house but I still can't make waffles yet--hopefully I can reach level 26 tonight or early tomorrow though. In the meanwhile, my girls have been working on figure skating and diving just for fun in my neighbors' towns, plus making friends with my friends' sims.

The do something at a certain time goals are still there but I think they have removed the do something on a certain day goals due to the key goals.

For faster levelling up suggest you visit a neighbour with a high bonus xp (like Perturbee) and do repetitive short actions like change into swimsuit or high 5 a sim for bonus xp. Hope you reach level 26 soon so you can go and burn those waffles!

Thanks! I just hit 26, so I can finally send a sim to visit a friend and burn waffles, then do some figure skating and socializing for fun I just hope my next social goal wont be something requiring me to hit level 40 or something ridiculous like that! Shouldn't the game recognize your level and give you a task you're capable of performing? It seems so wrong that it prevented me from doing social tasks for days I mean, I just recently decided to do the social tasks in the first place, and after a handful of them, it gave me a task that required me to go up 4 levels first?! So not nice.

I think the social goals are the same for everyone. We thought that the order is the same for everyone but now we know that they are not. But the list should be the same irregardless of the order. The other thing you have to do is to unlock the ski lift by getting all the medals as you have the snowboard and toboggan goals. You cannot access the ski lift otherwise. I'm not sure if you can unlock it by skating in another town.
