That may be a glitch, because once I updated the current goal immediately finished. Then the very first goal was to buy the Progressive tv. Once I finished the four Progressive goals, the mystery box goal appeared. These goals are not part of the teen goals, but are the everyday blue goals.nogard0 wrote:nope i am on bake potato to,finish the ovens. and already bought free cars for everyone except those that had one.

Re: Mystery Box
I finished my first Mystery Box quest.
My goals have 3 parts on my screen (I play on an iPad)
Teen Quest goals are on top
Regular goals in the middle, but if you expand it to read everything, you see the mystery box thing in there
Social goals with neighbors on the bottom
I didn't open my box yet - wasn't sure if I would have to re-earn the first key toward the 10? Or is it cumulative? Otherwise, it's going to take a minimum of 10 weeks to get the big box, assuming I don't use ANY keys before then to open the smaller boxes. Or do we get to open a box this week, then one 3 weeks later, then 2 weeks after that and then the big one 5 weeks after that? Or do we earn 1 key, use it, then earn 3 keys, use them, then earn 5 keys, use them and then earn 10 keys and use them??? Instead of 10 weeks, that would take us 19 weeks to get the big box?
I don't care about "prizes" in the boxes. I want XP! I really, really want to get to Level 32 so I can add another Sim. Unless there is XP in the box, I'm not going to waste my key. The prizes are probably stuff we can buy anyway, aren't they? Unless they give us the teleporter or escalator or something - I would like that, since I missed them the first time around. I'm at 72% - really bummed out since they took the toilet spraying away. I used to get to about 80% and then run over to Bazlit's neighborhood and knock off another 10% so that when they all came home from work or harvested their overnight crops, I would bump up. Resources have dried up, although I DID get a magma ember while I was trying to get Aberforth dirty - I have a goal to send a Sim to work with low hygiene, so I found somebody that had 6 unhappy Sims and cleaned up their pee puddles - he got a magma ember from the pee! But he's not showing red, just halfway green. Does he need to be in the red zone to have "low" hygiene?
When does the new week start? I finished all the goals in 2 days and I only skipped "become enemies with 2 Sims" - I don't want any enemies! Didn't like that one at all. Now I'm thinking about skipping the making croissants on a neighbor's stove because it takes 18 hours... Maybe I'll start it after Seamus's second movie (he's over in Bazlit's Sim Cinema), and then pay LP to finish it after 10 or 12 hours. Don't want to waste my entire Sunday having a Sim stuck making croissants. I don't get to visit the neighbors and see their houses if I have one of my Sims doing a long term thing in one neighborhood.
I sure this this update had included being able to add 1 Sim per level. They could cap it at 50 Sims. You don't HAVE to make 50 Sims, but you could if you wanted to. I'm a chicken and won't try the tricks or cheats - I'm afraid I'm such a klutz I'll do something wrong and ruin my game, so I just play by their rules. Sure wish EA hadn't turned this over to the FMs. I started when EA was still the support team and I enjoy my Sims 3 and my Medieval Sims. Never had a problem with support from EA and there are even sanctioned cheats (motherlode!).

I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Re: Mystery Box
I have finished all quests, got mystery box, built high school and now have 2 teens. But I never got a free car and have reached my max sims quota @ 31. I'm sort of treading water so to speak. BTW I'm on level 37. I guess I have to wait a week to try the mystery box again.A car would have been nice. There are soccer decorations for the teen room but they can't play soccer. Also, has anyone been getting gold bars?
Re: Mystery Box
The mystery box goals are in the blue box where you find your other goals. You can only do so many each week. I got antsy and tried to complete them really fast and now I have to wait 4 more days to start the next week's goals. Hope this helps!hiser1974 wrote:How do you get these Mystery box goals?
Do they just pop up when you are doing normal goals?
I have finished all the other goals from this update and don't see anything Mystery box related.

Re: Mystery Box
I got gold bars doing hand shakes and high fives today in neighborhoods where I didn't know anybody and had to make some friends.

Re: Mystery Box
I've opened my 1st 2 Mystery Boxes but now I'm wondering if that was a mistake since my "Key" total is showing "0" . As I review the assorted boxes it's now making me think that if I cash in my key each week I'll never get the chance to get the bigger boxes since it doesn't seem to be maintaining the keys I've collected on record.

Re: Mystery Box
I think we have to save them up. I used my first key so it says I have zero keys, too. I wanted to see what was in the first box - nothing exciting, now I'm sorry I "spent" my key. Won't be doing that again, will save them up until I can open the big one.
