I'm on my 5th or 6th attempt to get the last piece of music on the bass guitar. Not looking forward to the other instruments/notes which take even longer than an hour

All we can do is reporting the spam. If you haven't changed the board style, you'll see a button at the right hand side top. I have changed the board style to subsilver2, and use the red exclamation mark at the right hand side bottom.

I have the highest rated interment but its taking half an hour a go . I sometimes get the same notes of music so don't gain anything seeing we can only have one teenager doing its going to take me ages to complete.

Once you get past that song writing and build the sign the number of resources to level up looks like it will be VERY time consuming !

So perhaps I should buy the 3-star instruments to start with.
Just seems as a waste of lp if the reward for completing the quest is a free 3-star set of instruments.
On the other hand it is going to take a lot of time on 1-star instruments, 5 or 6 times making music that takes twice as long adds up to a significant amount of time. For the keyboard the difference between 1-star and 3-star is 30 minutes, so with 6 attempts that would be 3 hours longer.
Going to check later on my testgame how long each of the instruments take for 1,2 and 3-star.

Cost of instruments:

• 1 star: § 650
• 2-star: 5 LP
• 3-star 10 LP

So the whole set of 3-star instruments costs 50 LP

Time of action:

• Keyboard 1-star 60 minutes
• Keyboard 2-star 45 minutes
• Keyboard 3-star 30 minutes
• Bass guitar 1-star 2 hours
• Bass guitar 2-star 1:30 hour
• Bass guitar 3-star 1 hour
• Drums 1-star 3 hours
• Drums 2-star 2:15 hours
• Drums 3-star 1:30 hours
• Electric guitar 1-star 4 hours
• Electric guitar 2-star 3 hours
• Electric guitar 3-star 2 hours
• Microphone 1-star 5 hours
• Microphone 2-star 4 hours
• Microphone 3-star 3 hours

On my testgame it took 93 hours in total to complete the whole set (with 1-star instruments).
So that would be about 4 days no-stop gaming.
As we have six days to complete the quest you basically need to buy the 3-star instruments to complete it in time and get the reward of a free 3-star instrument set. That doesn't make much sense to me.

But the bigger reward of course is unlocking Simtown sign and be able to upgrade it to level 3 to unlock the free Teen Idol Mansion.
Now back to my main game to get my teen slaving on his music.

I don't think FM ever thinks these quests through. I bought all 3-star instruments without knowing the time difference was that drastic. I just had a feeling that I should buy them. I am a newer player, but I've picked up on their tricks quickly. What would I do with the free set of these since only 1 teen can play the instruments.

90 hours of game play wow ! This has a time limet .90 hours is like you say 4 days . I have 4 days left on my time limet .

So seeing I am using 3 star it should be half that time.

I am finding or should say what I am doing is using up my LP up in what I am gaining for free in getting SIMS doing ice skating is clicking finishing the task faster using 1lP so sim can level up faster . As I notice onces teenager level is higher I am hoping I can finish this sooner .

Maybe after all this quest is finishes we still have this hobby for teenager can gain LP from it like the other hobbies .
So if we want to make the task longer as maybe we are away from the game we use the other instruments that take longer to complete
