Found Fix for Film Making Reset

In my Neighbors house, I removed the escalators and put them in inventory. That way, the Sim can't change floors while film making, so the Sims stay on the first floor. I've never seen them use the fire pole. When I need the escalators, I just put them back in. Hope this helps.

i though ghost hunting and filming were both same problem and both fixed. both of mine go to a floor and stay on that floor for rest of task.

Nope, the bug is not fixed, when my sim went up the firepole the timer was reset.
Update: leaving the sim alone for an hour finishes when not viewing the house in between.

Only Ghost Hunting seems fine, they didn't travel between floors at all in my asylum.

I keep my cameras at single storey houses for the time being.

Ah, FINALLY, a benefit for not having any two story buildings! Hahahaha....

I hope to build at least one someday. But a million bucks is a lot and it takes forever to hit that point. It's hard to cash it all in on a second story. But I really like visiting and using all the various ways to get up and down. It's fun. I especially like the transporter and spiral stairs.

It is great fun to come up with crazy things to make your sim run through a house and use the various transport mechanisms between floors.

Don't worry about digressing, nobody will report you for that and even if they do I really don't mind one bit.
