Today, I got a pearl, wind and magma! I was shocked! Hopefully a tide has turned. Or maybe just a glitch.

Maya will be visiting neighbors soon, I'm sure. She gets so many good ideas when she goes on out of town trips. This confidence about negotiating with the FM Overlords though - I don't know. I think she's been watching too much of the coverage of the passing of one of her role models and non-Sim idols - Nelson Mandela. Ah well. I'm glad she's a dreamer and doer. So far she's been a good mayor. :geek:

I think it's safe to say there are a lot of people out there frustrated with the resources (me being one of them)! When the febreze toilet was usefull for the resources I was getting so many pick-axes and I thought: you know what this is not so bad, I will get the pick-axes first and then the the next resource that drops more often and so on! Well joke on me: they first made the toilet completely useless ( there are nicer, faster toilets in sim world) and now I find out that once you get all resources like the pick-axes to update to level 70 they still drop! A roughfly calculation shows that we need around 30,000 resorces to finish those silly looking monuments! I understand the first 3 but the last oyster one seems useless! I got to level 15 and I did not see any change in the bonuses that I am getting! What's the point of it then?

Hi! I actually have a question about resources (sorry if I should have started a new thread for this).

I was visiting a neighbors town (Perturbee's, to be exact) and I discovered that if I kept doing the high-five/chest bump/bro-fist/etc. action, then I got 430 (or 450, something like that) XP points, in addition to a little depiction of a fire flame. On Perturbee's website it says that this is a fire resource for the Mystery Island (which I'm sure is only news to myself).

My question is, I just got to level 11 (I used those actions to level up quickly) and I still have the "Build the Bridge on the Town Map" action in "The Mysterious Island" question, so, I have no use for those resources. Are they saved up for me to access later when I actually need them? Or are they just gone forever?

The fire flame isn't exactly a resource but something extra you get for having "Flames of Wisdom" monument. It means you're getting extra XP for the actions you make. But you only get those once you've started building the monuments which is why you probably get them on your neighbours' towns: they have the monuments built. So even if you don't (and I assume you don't 'cause you still haven't built the bridge, right?) you'll get them in your neighbours towns.

Anyways, if you got a resource before you have the monuments I think they would be saved. I say this because of what happened to me with the sim town sign: I got some photoshoots before getting the sign unlocked and once it was I had a bunch of photoshoots already there.

Hope this helps. Not sure if I'm being clear or I confused you more

This makes perfect sense, thank you! A little bummed it isn't an actual resource, but, it seems, for now, I've found the ticker for easier leveling up, and, I'm quite fine with that. :D

Still the Febreze toilet is pretty good, especially at a neighbour who has a high level fire monument for added bonus! Thanks Perturbee!
Is it possible to get the Febreze toilet any more? When I restarted my game the free ones were no longer available. But, I can't even tell how to buy one.
