Teen Idol and Road to Fame [SPOILER]

Somehow I got the Teen Idol event from the start of the teen update. From the beginning, the Famous Sims sign was visible on the map. When I clicked on it, I got, however, a message about other tasks had to be completed first. Following the announcement in the park of Sims High School, the teen idol quest became available and I was able to buy a keyboard in the home store. It should be clarified that this only happened on my iPad. Another game on my android phone seems to be working normally, there's at least no famous sign yet.

The keyboard (Expensive 3-star costs 10 LP)) look's like this

You have to
write 3 notes (30 min. each) on the keyboard after wich you recieve a bass guitar
write 3 notes (1 hour each) on the bass guitar after wich you recieve a drum kit
write 3 notes (1½ hour each) on the drum kit after wich you recieve an electric guitar
write 3 notes (2 hour each) on the Electric guitar after wich you recieve a microphone
write 3 notes (3 hours each) by singing in the microphone after wich you recieve Magazine Photoshoot witch is a ressource for the Famous Sims Sign.

Along the way you will be able to buy the instruments with differient looks and prices in the home store. There's a free set of 3-star items availble.

There are 4 sets of instruments:

Cheap (1 star) which costs § 650,
Playing time:
Keyboard 1 Hr
Bass Guitar 2 Hrs
Drumm Kit 3 Hrs
Electric Guitar 4 Hrs
Microphone 5 Hrs

Standard (2 star) which costs 5 LP,
Playing time:
Keyboard 45 Mins
Bass Guitar 1 Hr 30 Mins
Drumm Kit 2 Hrs 15 Mins
Electric Guitar 3 Hrs
Microphone 4 Hrs

Premium (3 star) which is free (yet), and Expensive (3 star) which costs 10 LP.
Playing time:
Keyboard 30 Mins
Bass Guitar 1 Hr
Drumm Kit 1 Hr 30 Mins
Electric Guitar 2 Hrs
Microphone 3 Hrs

The TV Show Cameo, the Radio Interview and the Magazine Photoshoot are ressources for the Famous Sims Sign, whitch have to be restored to level 3 before the Teen Idol Mansion will be available.

The guitars only occupies 1 square, but they should be placed so your teen can grab it with the left hand.
The drums will have access from the right side when you look at them from behind.
The keyboard and microphone can be accessed from both sides.

Do they stand up to play the keyboard? - If you provide a chair, will they use it, or would it just get in the way?

There is no need for chairs or other furniture, every instrument is played standing.
Apart from the drums, of course.
