This is goodbye really. My game is already gone. I simply can't do this update, so of all my sims have moved out of town, every rabbit, moggy, mutt, parrot and human. The reindeer and ducks are wild animals, so I've left them behind. Hope to recreate everyone in another form of The Sims.

I can't think where else to say thank you to everyone on this forum and on the forums before. You have kept me going with this game and have been helpful in ways you won't know. You and sims freeplay got me through some hard times. It's rare to meet a group of people online who have such warmth and kindness, and tolerance too, but here you are!

Thank you for your intelligence and humour too and I hope very much that your games can get through the update successfully in ways that you are happy with.

Very sorry to see you go SimMutt, but then again I too am also on the brink of saying goodbye to the game. Not quite ready to move all my Sims out of town yet but getting there. Wishing you all the best

Thank you, SimMutt - very sorry to see you go but fully understand why. Contributors like you have added so much to this forum and the gaming experience. Like Palmjill, I may not be far behind in saying Cheerio to Sims Farfromfreeplay.

We will miss you! It is sad to see you leave the game, but I fully understand the reasons.
I hope my fears regarding this update are unfounded, if not I think quite a few will be joining you in a "Sims-Free Life".

Wanted to let you know I'm going to stay in to try it. I've already expressed my ethical reservations elsewhere. There are certain kinds of games I won't play. I hope this doesn't turn into one of those. It may already have crossed the line. But I will wait and see. The trailers and FM hype for the update are treading a very fine line for me, and all that is already over the edge, again, to me. Yet, I don't know how it's implemented in the game, and have never found FM or EA to be very articulate about, well, much?

So, I'll let the actual gameplay speak for itself. If it's as bad as FM has stated they plan for it to be, my next step would be full hibernation for all Sims until the next update. If there were to be no changes for the better at the next update, I'll delete the game. I've already deleted it for my daughter.

(I understand other players choose to play games the sorts of which SFP may have become with this update. Good on you! They just aren't for me. I'm sharing my thoughts with anyone who plays for reasons similar to mine.)

Hi blackbrit. I am up in the air at this point. Just waiting to see the reality of what is to come. For the way I play my game, this death twist with the pay to stay option is unacceptable. I've very much enjoyed the game but the past few months of the developers actions have served to break my attachment. I think the coming week or so will determine the games fate for a lot of players. I wish everyone well and want to say this forum of Perturbee's has been wonderful. I feel like you all are my extended sim family! Well wishes to all!
