To everyone who is already leaving, I wish you the very best for your next gaming adventures! You will all be missed! While I am waiting to see what happens, truthfully, I may be not long behind you.

I can't think where else to say thank you to everyone on this forum and on the forums before. You have kept me going with this game and have been helpful in ways you won't know. You and sims freeplay got me through some hard times. It's rare to meet a group of people online who have such warmth and kindness, and tolerance too, but here you are!

Thank you for your intelligence and humour too and I hope very much that your games can get through the update successfully in ways that you are happy with.

Oh SimMutt I am sorry to see you go. I am not happy, but I am hoping to wait this out, even if it means taking a break for a few months. My sims might become zombies (appropriately, at least they will be the living dead). I'm hoping if I don't play and just leave them sleeping, by the time the next update comes around, I will be able to update and we will have the ability to conquer death. Heck, sell us a sorcerer's stone! I'd pay for something like that to skip the whole dying thing... But not some rip off price - $9.99 to protect my whole town would be workable...

Maybe the next update will be the magic they keep asking us about and a hobby would be concocting an elixir from the fountain of youth so you could stop aging or get the ability to turn it off. But even if they are thinking that, it could be many months before it happens. So I just won't play. My sims are in pre-update time, and there they will stay even if it means I don't play for a very long time. Not deleting my game, just going to let it sit there and kind of stagnate.

I wish you well, and completely understand your decision. I see myself going back to my Sims 3, Sims stories or medieval sims for awhile. Not as social as SFP, but I can still check in here and EA can't force me to upgrade to Sims 4 (not doing it), so I can do what I want with my Sims. Take care and pop in once in awhile to say Hi, OK?
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Oh dear, I've only just read the last few pages of this thread and also wanted to add I'm sorry to see you go, SimMutt. I don't know if you will even read this now but your comments have always made me smile so wanted to say goodbye.
It's also sad to see so many people who have obviously loved this game as much as I have on the verge of giving up - or at least leaving for a while. I'm giving the update a go on my test game to see how it works and whether I could live with it. I won't have much, if any, time to play after tomorrow over the next couple of weeks so I will also be having a break and will see how I feel about it when I have more time. One thing's for sure I don't enjoy watching the time ticking away against my sims and the extra pressure of having to deal with that. I've never enjoyed timed games, and always turn it off if there's an option. Maybe I will start a new town with brand new sims and see how that goes.
Best wishes to everyone, whatever you all decide x

I don't even know if you'll see this, SimMutt, cause I didn't even read all of your post. I HAD to post. I haven't formally introduced myself here, but that's why I was here, & I decided to read a few posts first. Your post made me so sad. I'm at a loss for words. It literally made me feel like you were saying goodbye to a family member. I know some are thinking, 'your being too dramatic' but I have a heart. I try not to hurt anybody on purpose. I've made mistakes, but I've learned from them, too. If ANYBODY at EA/FM has even a sliver of a heart, they will fix this great game, so that everybody is happy, whether they want to keep their Sims forever, or they wanna keep some here a little while or not at all. And not charge us outrageous prices, in EVERY form, & be fair to ALL the fans of this game who, for years, have paid for your lifestyle, which I'm sure is probably better than some of those that have paid for it. LET THIS BE A LESSON - you have people who want this game. Why be unreasonable to them & punish them for YOUR mistakes? If after this, FM doesn't change a thing, & I know eventually they'll read this, we all might as well give up, because there is NO HOPE left for SFP.

*let me edit a statement. "If after this, EA/FM doesn't change a thing..."

Many of them quit the game due to changes with the latest update. There are only a few of us left, and some newbies. Come out to the main forum and say hello. :)
