Personality location
When you create a sim, you are able to choose a personality type. Where can you find the personality type of sims once they are created and in the game? I currently have 16 sims, and have no idea what their personality types are.
Re: Personality location
I don't think you can do that to be honest. I may be wrong though. I have never paid too much attention it it myself because it doesn't affect anything in the game.

Re: Personality location
It is very important from what I've read. It has a huge impact on how quickly your sims gain levels in their hobby. I think it also affects their careers as well.
Re: Personality location
According to my experience the character does not matter, all my sims leveled up with the same number of percent. The higher the level, the lower the progress.Swolecat wrote:It is very important from what I've read. It has a huge impact on how quickly your sims gain levels in their hobby. If you want to see the character of your sims, let them look into a wardrobe to open the create a sim menue. Watch what the movements which they do the first moment. They do the same while you have chosen the character.
But you won't see the list, and your'e not able to change the character.

Re: Personality location
Could the next person able to create a sim take some screen shots of the available personality types when they do their actions and post them? I would but I have two more levels til my next sim and that one has to be an infant because my granddaughter accidentally grew my only toddler into a preteen and one SIMply MUST have a toddler!
Re: Personality location
What??? What exactly have you read and where? I never heard this. They do their little personality display when the first arrive someplace. But other than that, you never see it once you choose personality when creating the Sim. How does it effect hobbies? I'd be interested to know. This is new info.Swolecat wrote:It is very important from what I've read. It has a huge impact on how quickly your sims gain levels in their hobby. I think it also affects their careers as well.

Re: Personality location
If I recall, the babies don't get personalities. You only get to pick really basic stuff like eye color. When they age to a toddler you can pick hair and clothes. Personalities are only for new adult Sims.
I made a list one day, if they make grinding sounds and robot movements, they are geeks. If they swing a cane and show money, they are tycoons. If they float in the air and say "ommm" they're spiritual and if they swing a baseball bat and you hear cheering, that's sporty. If you see psychidelic swirls with a big boom box when they show up, they're old school. Most of mine are sporty. I don't have any of the other personalities yet. I know there is crazy, party animal, villain and socialite, but I don't know what they do. I sort of made my toddler a geek, because I make her do quantum physics on her chalkboard at least once a day and I make my pre-teen and my teen study a lot. I don't know if they will ever let us age them into adults but since nothing carries over from toddler to pre teen or pre teen to teen, I guess if they do a grow up for teens, we'd pick personality then? Regular Sims, their kids inherit traits from their parents, but so far I haven't seen it here.

I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Re: Personality location
I can't believe they won't allow more Sims at some point. What's the point of having all these houses?

Here is the list of personalities. I'll see if I can take a few pics of the actions of my current sims and post them. Seeing them in the create a sim screen doesn't help as much.

Re: Personality location
Oh I have a creative one - she splashes paint everywhere when she shows up at the neighbors' and I know I have a bookworm but I forget what they do when they arrive at the neighbors' - probably because they are quiet.SIMazing wrote:Here is the list of personalities.
