Do any of you go there much? Have you built there? I did a houseboat but I never go there. I have empty houses where I am... Why build more? Just curious how ya'll are utilizing this space? With limit on people were going to have a bunch of empty houses I guess. *shrugs*

I did build a house there and I have a sim planned to move in there once I lvl up. But I think that's it for now.

I have plans to relocate and move existing families around after rebuild some of the houses.

I built just one houseboat and one of my sims lives in it. I don't intend to build anymore as I still have a lot of empty lots in my main town. I only have 16 houses altogether for my 31 sims and only the HFN and haunted house are unoccupied. I do enjoy remodeling my existing houses from time to time

I've built 2 houseboats, 1 sim lives on each and I have 2 land houses unoccupied, I do plan to move some sims over but haven't gotten around to it.

I visit the island to collect the house rewards, but I am really tired of seeing those unfinished monuments, the rare resources are taking way too long to show up

I have two houseboats lived in (Captain Crazy in the three storey boat and his ex, Cassandra Crazy with her son in the single storey boat), I also use the Volcano View Farm every day. My Athletes work there when back from work.

I love the nature sounds there!

My town has a theme, its a very popular town for movie and television production, and almost everyone who lives in town is very involved in costume design and special effects.

So many of the houses are designed based on a real television show. Particularly for hard to house families ( I have a house for a polygamist family of 22 on the main town ) The other thing I like to do is design houses based on my own family, so I am working on houses to meet the needs, tastes of various family members.

I'm working on a house on the island that combines both. It Is a survivalist compound for a large extended family, but very comfortable since the design is based on my own family.

I also have the economy houseboat set up as a rental get away. Right now its all set for Halloween Parties, but I think the decor will change to fit other holidays.

And I have a cabin designed for a relative and to be used as a movie set.

I might change some of it when the teen idol house becomes available

Since I am out of lots except for the premium ones in town, I started building on the island. A premium houseboat where, ironically, it snows all the time. The neo Tokyo that I never wanted when it was cheap but then the grand kids saw it and had to have it. Poof! There went 5 mil! They have volcanos in Tokyo, right?!?! The beachside escape (of course) with a fabulously remodeled kitchen. It's a vacation rental work in progress. And the latest project. The darkness to light house located near a beheaded turtle. Okay, that's weird even for me. Lol. No one lives there. The island is a vacation only spot. Desiree, find me on GC, I'd love to see your town! Now I must think of a design for a prepper house! Darn this forum!! Lol.

My mayor's family lives in a house in the island, they have the modified Geek Haven with a pool. My teen lives there. I only visit to collect the Simoleons and on the increasingly rare occasions that I get a notification I can add to one of the monuments. Don't have enough SP to build a houseboat and with only 17 Sims, most of them still live in town and I am trying to keep the houses occupied. My HFN is unoccupied (just added a wood working bench - yay!) and my haunted house over by the museum is also unoccupied.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm trying to decide what to build. I've saved enough LP to do something, and I have the SP to do a Scandinavian house. I thought it might go well on the island but not sure about all the shuttling... And need to check, cause I think those might all be Premium lots in which case I don't have enough. I just don't see the shuttling back and forth. I like the idea of a vacation spot or farm. I have one houseboat and it's sort of a "get-away" place now. I saw one Premium Houseboat turned into a beautiful restaurant. So I think I'm leaning towards resort/farm. Thanks!
