Should I build a two story mansion on mystery island?
I am thinking about building a two story mansion and I am concerned about the risks if I buy it. Some posts I read about are about their houses they bought aren't progressing in time. Like they're frozen and I don't want that to happen. I mean, 6,000,000 simoleans wasted. On the other hand that might not happen, and I'll be okay. What should I do?

Cloud save before you buy it. If anything happens, reset your game and download your save back from the cloud.
Or use ifunbox if you're on IOS.

I think the bug you are concerned about is now fixed. Have you read about this since the teen update?ILoveSpf wrote:I am thinking about building a two story mansion and I am concerned about the risks if I buy it. Can we play SFP on a PC laptop? I play on my iPad2 and I save a backup to my Galaxy S4 phone (don't play on that, it's too small). Would love to be able to play it on the 17" screen of my laptop, but it's not an Apple product.Pammy30159 wrote:Hi animagif....do you know of a way I can play SFP on my mac laptop....? I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

In short, no, you can't. At least not in a comfortable way or with a performance akin to your device.Hufflepuff Karen wrote:Can we play SFP on a PC laptop? Long answer, on a windows based pc/laptop you can try using BlueStacks, but ... it is agonisingly sloooooooow!
BlueStacks is an interesting application, but on my 8-core 3.4 GHz PC it is as slow as treacle and unplayable in my opinion. Also if you do try it, do NOT change the default screen size or window size, that will break the ability to play SFP!
There is another alternative for the technically inclined, that is using Google's Android emulator. It is included in the ADT (Android Developer Tools) bundle from Google (Win/Linux/Mac). It's more difficult to setup and is also very sloooooooooow!
Edit: Link to ADT: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

Thanks! Guess I'm sticking with my iPad!! Although I may get desperate enough to play on my phone until they get the sound back! That's driving me crazy - why would the teen idol update disable the sound in the game?!?! Haven't heard a single note since Dora started composing last night! No meows, barks, talking to plants, no TVs or stereos (guess they're watching a silent movie marathon!)Perturbee wrote:In short, no, you can't. Have you tried force-closing the app and restarting your device? Sounds like the game's sound-module stopped working.Hufflepuff Karen wrote:Thanks! Guess I'm sticking with my iPad!! Yup, tried all of that. I have tried everything. It's like they disabled the sound when they uploaded the teen idol thing.Perturbee wrote:Have you tried force-closing the app and restarting your device? Sounds like the game's sound-module stopped working.
