I checked the price on this and it's coming up at 9.5 million on any of the Island lots.

Out of interest, is there a variation on prices internationally? I noticed that paying real money for LPs, packages etc in the store is higher priced in £ sterling than dollars.

Surely that can't apply to simeoleons?

I built it. It's all right, but I am going to remodel it to suit my needs better, after I come up with a plan for it  You can see pics of all the prebuilt houses in this thread viewtopic.php?f=6&t=44 I raided some items from the house to put in other houses for now, and I have a young bachelor living in this huge house all by himself! I plan to get him hitched soon enough though.

The price of your Simoleon houses depends on the number of houses you already have in your town. That is why you are advised to build the Simoleon ones first before the LP houses. I have 16 houses in my town and a two storey mansion would cost 6.5 million for me to build.

Thank you. That explains the difference in price. I have 21 houses.
I wish I'd found this very helpful forum sooner. Lots more is making sense now.

I think the SFP Scandinavian House should be called the Ikea House. My cousins live in Holland and their house doesn't look anything like the SFP one. The stairs in their house are real narrow and steep. It reminds me of Betsy Ross's house here in Philadelphia. :D

Older Scandinavian houses do have very steep stairs, but newer ones don't. The stairs in newer ones are just like in North America really. It is not common to have carpeting in a Scandinavian house. The cabinets are also not like those SP cabinets (I'm going to sell those off, as they look real stupid to me!)

I think the house my cousin lives in is over 200 years old. All my relatives live in Europe and it amazes me how old their houses are. When you consider some of the oldest buildings in the US are only a few hundred years old and I've been in buildings in Europe that are 6 or 7 hundred years old. It's absolutely mind boggling. I love old buildings. :D
