The Road to Fame Started Tonight?

My "Road to fame" started yesterday and i'm using Android

My sign is there, and I only started the music goals tonight. But I have no sound! It is making me crazy that I have no sound in the game. I even wrote to the FM. I can't hear the music Dora is playing on her keyboard or guitar. No sound effects, no background music. It was fine until the teen idol thing started... It's been more than 24 hours now.

My sounds are gone often. Than i have to restart my iPad and the sound is back. It happens once a week i think. Weird

I have restarted 4 times and still no sound in the game. All other apps are fine, iTunes plays, etc. but SFP's sound cut out as soon as teen idol turned on - I didn't get any of my evening alerts that tasks were done and when I went to check, everybody was done and the new goals were there, but I have no sounds at all. Really frustrating, 48 hours now, and I can't hear the music Dora is composing or anything else at all! I submitted a ticket to FM, but no response yet. I have never had the sound go out before....

I'm new to the forum, but have been browsing for days. I hope this question hasn't been asked elsewhere, but I'm confused on the writing music. I am on the goal to write 6 songs. Macy has completed the first hobby level goal and unlocked the guitar. I bought a 3 star guitar, but Macy won't play it for me. Do I have to complete the 6 pieces of music before she can use the guitar? I guess for now she will keep playing her 2 star keyboard. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Do you get the footsteps in a bubble when you try? If so, then you need to turn the guitar a different direction, so she can reach it.

Oh, I'll feel stupid if that's all it was! (Though that's an easy fix!) She's in the middle of a song on her keyboard, but I'll try that when she is done. . Thanks for your quick reply!

You're welcome. And don't feel bad, we've all been caught by the footsteps at least once. It happened to me with the drums. Just so you know ahead of time, you'll need a space to the side, not behind. I found out the hard way.
Do let us know if that was it or if there is another problem.

Well that was it! Who knew? I had the front of the guitar facing left and when I moved it to the other corner, facing right, she went and picked it up. I don't quite understand why it doesn't work the other way cause there was nothing in the way, but just glad that Macy can now start learning bass guitar! Thanks!

I didn't realise that you can only have 1 teen idol as only 1 teen can use the instruments at a time!

I just paid to adopt a teen cause I thought if I have 2 teens collecting notes etc, I could build the sim town sign quicker, no chance

I was confused about this, too. I have my (one and only) teen idol sim doing all the song writing again because I'm afraid to send him back to his previous hobby, diving. So is Teen Idol now a hobby like the terribly unsatisfying fishing?

Do we lose the ability to build more Teen Idol Mansions if we return our teen idol to a more lucrative hobby?

This isn't clear to me yet - I've been reading the board, but maybe not the right stuff. It's easy to get confused. I'm with you on that.
