how will my preteens grow up into teens?

Hi, i don't know how my preteens can grow up in teens?
Can anyone give me some advice?

The same way you grew up a baby into a toddler and into a pre-teen.
But you do need to do the relevant "Coming to age" quest first.

I baked a birthday cake and i still don't have a teen?
Now i will adopt a teenager by phone, but i have already 31 sims and it tells me to move out a sim.
How did i do that?
Using the phone for adopting a teen will that solve my problem?

31 Sims is the current limit. You can let a pre-teen have their birthday (or grow up any other kids like that) without the need to delete a sim.

To delete one, have him/her use a wardrobe to browse clothes, then use the little red icon at the top-left to delete that sim.

So you baked a birthday cake in another house and it didn't work? I just started baking one in a house I don't use very often

I have 10 teens that I grew up with the help of all adults in my town baking birthday cake everywhere. Worked ok.

I'm glad I didn't just waste 5 LP! It better work for me I was planning to get my preteen girl to finish her ballet hobby (just about at level 6) while her birthday cake is being baked across the street.

Did you click on your pre-teen Sim and click "have birthday"? If the cake is finished baking, no matter where you baked it, pop the bubble and it goes in your inventory. The game remembers that you have a cake. Then pick the pre-teen that is going to grow up and tap on the Sim him/her self. The Have Birthday option should come up. I drove myself crazy looking for the cake, thinking I had to click on the cake. Didn't realize I had to click on the kid. I even baked another cake, thinking the first one was lost. All my cakes are baked by the same Sim in an empty house, I never bake the cakes in the house where the kids live - that way I don't make a mistake and get the cake too soon or age up the wrong kid. I just leave the cake bubble, unpopped, in the empty house until I need it.

Did you do all following steps?
Step 1 ... Bake a birthday cake.
Step 2 ... Tap the cake
Step 3 ... Tap the preteen and choose "Have a birthday"

If this didn't work, there is probably a bug in your game. In this case I would reset the game, download the saved data and try again
